This near one-to-one remake of the 1988 OG – now with period-correct Nike Air branding – will this time be a family affair, as it’ll be available in sizes that’ll fit the biggest adults and smallest infants.

The AJ3 is an important shoe in Michael Jordan history as it launched some of the most enduring motifs of the 37-plus-year signature series. This model formally featured the Jumpman silhouette logo on the tongue, which became one of the world’s most recognised trademarks, and remains Jordan Brand’s insignia today. Similarly, the crackly ‘elephant’ print used on the toe cap and heel counter has been replicated countless times across the assortment as an instantly recognisable marker of greatness. Rounding out the iconography of this edition are its ‘Fire Red’ accents that light up the ankle collar, tongue lining, midsole accent, and Nike Air branding. This essential element returns to this colourway for the first time since its original drop almost 35 years ago.
