The Air Jordan 3 ‘Rare Air’ Features an Interesting Design Detail
A certified classic in the hangar, the continues to soar in 2024 thanks to some high-end collaborations with the likes of and Nina Chanel. There’s also been plenty of in-line heat to capitalise on the AJ3 hype train, including the latest upcoming – a homage to an iconic colourway.
It looks like there’s more rare Air on the way, with the Air Jordan 3 now being teased on socials in a brand new ‘Rare Air’ edition. Right off the bat, you’ll notice something unique about this colourway. The Nike Air logos on the heel plates are actually arranged in mirror-image format, with the right shoe featuring a horizontally inverted position of the logo. At the time of writing, we’re not sure how this relates to the storytelling around the release, but there’s no doubt a thematic reasoning behind the decision.
In terms of colour blocking, the Air Jordan 3 is dressed in a familiar mix of black, white and ‘Military Blue’, the in-line release certainly bearing resemblance to Fragment Design’s signature compositions.
Currently, we haven’t caught wind of any official release details, but the Air Jordan 3 ‘Rare Air’ is expected to arrive on the Nike SNKRS app and Jordan retails over the coming months for $200. For more on the Jordan Brand, make sure to check out confirmed for the back half of 2024.
