One of the most popular Jumpman designs of all time, the legendary ‘Hare’ colourway originally hopped into stores via the Air Jordan 7 in 1991. Of course taking inspiration from Warner Brothers’ beloved Bugs Bunny character, the AJ7 appeared in the iconic Super Bowl commercial in the 1990s, and would eventually inspire Michael Jordan’s feature-length Space Jam film.

Sneakerheads have been treated to numerous ‘Hare’ colourways since its initial inception in 1991, the next rendition involving the very latest from the Jumpman hangar: The Air Jordan 37. Officially unveiled in July, the Air Jordan 37 conceptually revolves around the three stages of jumping – crash, load and launch. TPU mold encases the Formula 23 foam – the newest flagship foam from Jordan brand – while carbon fibre midfoot shanks return for the first time since the Air Jordan 32. The popular Zoom Air strobel unit is again installed for snappy responsiveness.

In terms of the uppers, Jordan Brand have opted for a Lenoweave that uses a yarn dubbed Arkema, a monofilament variety that boasts both strong and pliable properties. The Lenoweave pattern is actually inspired by the infallible Air Jordan 7, as well as the hand-shaped craftsmanship of West African basket weaving. The layered structure also takes cues from the cult favourite OG Flight Huarache.

Look for the Air Jordan 37 ‘Hare’ to release on September 29.
