Update July 25, 2023: One of the most hotly anticipated releases of 2024 is the Air Jordan 4 'Military Blue' retro with Nike Air branding. Rumours have been swirling for some time that the sought-after iteration was preparing to return, and now more info has just surfaced. According to sources, the 'Military Blue' will be landing in May 2024 in full-family sizing and retailing for $215. The shape also allegedly resembles the OG and features an off-white-toned upper.

While it's good to have hope, keep in mind that Jordan Brand haven't officially confirmed the gargantuan 'Military Blue' retro... yet.

The Air Jordan 4 is the final remaining OG colourway that is yet to receive a retro release with Nike Air branding. It’s a rumour that’s been talked about for over a decade since the last Jumpman-labelled remake in 2012. With sneakerhead hearts broken time and time again, this latest round of internet whispers warrants immense skepticism, but there might be some veracity to it.

Early reports indicate that the Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Blue’ retro with Nike Air branding is supposed to release in May 2024. That’s quite a while away, but the existence of a SKU code seems to imply that there is a new AJ4 keyed in for the near future. The White/Military Blue-Neutral Grey colourway attributed to this SKU also offers a glimmer of hope, but this could also be some wishful thinking on the part of online commentators.

Perhaps Jordan Brand are saving the best for last with the ‘Military Blue’, in that the retro will not only have Nike Air branding, but also a revised shape. This is a plausible inference, seeing as the brand updated the AJ4 silhouette for the SB edition. Here’s hoping the rumours are in fact true come May 2024 when the model celebrates its 35th anniversary.
