Air Jordan 5 (Doernbecher Glow)
It's been a big year for Nike's initiative, with some old favourites returning, and the Swoosh is continuing to refresh the range with new pieces too. This Air Jordan 5 comes from the wild brain of 12-year-old Isaac Arzate, it features the numbers 9 and 31 that Isaac wore when he played baseball and basketball on either shoe and Isaac's initials and the dates of his birth and passing are listed on the inside of the tongue. The shoe shines hard in the dark with the eyelets, lace toggle, outsole, Nike Air unit and quarter panels all lighting up in wild blue, and it comes paired with a flashlight as a tribute to Isaac's love of video games. Limited quantities of the Doernbecher Air Jordan V Retro will be sold on and at Nike retail locations across the country beginning Saturday, Sept. 14, with all proceeds going to Portland's Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
