Official Pics and Delayed Release: Air Jordan 6 ‘Midnight Navy’
Update: Official images of the Grade School pair of 2022 Air Jordan 6 'Midnight Navy' have surfaced ahead of next year's release.
Originally debuting during the 1990-91 NBA season, the was immortalised by Michael Jordan’s first championship, the Finals MVP finally annihilating the Detroit Pistons en-route to the L.A. Lakers.
Modelled on His Airness’ beloved German sports car of the time, the Porsche 964 Turbo, the AJ6 flaunted some of the best launch colourways we’d seen from the Jumpman (headlined of course by the ‘Carmine’ and ‘Infrared’ renditions).
First hitting the shelves back in the year 2000, the Air Jordan 6 ‘Midnight Navy’ is now scheduled to make its retro return this year, the neck-craning design losing none of its allure in the contemporary sphere.
Manufactured with white and ‘Midnight Navy’, the colourway clearly pays homage to the OG Air Jordan 6 ‘Sport Blue’. Accenting the classic white leather uppers with navy trim, the Air Jordan 6 adopts a translucent outsole with Jumpman branding on the heel.
The Air Jordan 6 ‘Midnight Navy’ was meant to release on Black Friday, November 26. However, a drop date has been rumoured for March 2022. We'll keep you updated as we hear more.
Where do you rank the Air Jordan 6 in the Jumpman vault? Is it underrated? Make sure to check out reliving the highlights of the immortal model for its 30th anniversary.
