Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle (Flight Jacket)
have hit the fighter-plane inspired with a number of make-ups in 2017, but the origins of this 'Flight Jacket' are a little more grounded.
In 1991, with the first of six championships under his belt, Michael Jordan would make a memorable appearance on Saturday Night Live, opening the show wearing a satin, diamond-quilted flight jacket and openly mocking his multitude of commercial appearances at the time. Like the '' before them, inspired by the tracksuit Jordan wore for his '86 appearance on the Late Show, these 6s are based on the GOAT's outfit from SNL – specifically the lustrous olive jacket worn during the opening monologue.
While we only have a few leaked images to go off at this stage, this AJ6 appears to perfectly capture the jacket's very same sheen, with quilting inserted in the lateral and medial underlays. Sources state this make-up will be a Pinnacle release and so we can expect top-tier quality.
