The Air Jordan 7 ‘Cardinal’ Returns to JD Sports In All Its Glory
The ‘Cardinal’ has finally returned! Last seen way back in 2011, the OG ‘Cardinal’ colourway first appeared on feet in 1992, His Airness leading the unstoppable Chicago Bulls to an NBA championship that season. But that’s not all. It was also the year Michael Jordan helped the US Dream Team bring home the gold at the Barcelona Olympics.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2022, the Air Jordan 7 has already appeared in numerous colourways this year, though none are as pretty as this.
Retaining all its lauded characteristics from the early 1990s, the Air Jordan 7 ‘Cardinal’ comes in a familiar ‘White’, ‘Black’, ‘Cardinal Red’, and ‘Chutney’ colour scheme sure to get the blood pumping. Designed by the great Tinker Hatfield, the Jumpman logo is this time embroidered onto the collar as well as the back heel pull tab. Of course, familiar materials are also present on the latest edition, with classic tumbled and smooth leather panelling offset by eye-catching perforations.
