Retro releases are some of the most exciting moments in the sneaker calendar, and now a 1993 OG is ready to hoop again at JD Sports: enter the Air Jordan 8 ‘Playoffs’.

Michael Jordan first donned this pair during the 1993 NBA Playoffs where he led the Chicago Bulls to their third consecutive championship. There have been a few re-releases since then, but it's been ten years since it last graced the shelves. The wait will not be in vain though, as the 2023 iteration bears commendable likeness to the 1993 release, as seen in design features like the red pull tab on the half-bootie construction. In terms of build, the ‘Playoffs’ uppers are constructed with black nubuck while showcasing the iconic 23 branding on the criss-cross straps. The TPU panels on the medial and lateral sides feature Mondrian-esque graphics, which also adorn the outsoles with added touches of ‘Concord’. Last but not least, another hit of Jumpman branding can be found on the black chenille tongue patches.

Whether you’re posting up courtside or lining up for a three, get ready, because you can cop the Air Jordan 8 ‘Playoffs’ at JD Sports today. Shop the release at the link below.
