Air Jordan 9 Pinnacle Baseball Pack
UPDATE: If you're trying to get your mitts on this Air Jordan 9 Pinnacle Pack, we've got good news. Livestock have just taken the shoes on a shoot, delivering pics that show them to be the kind of quality we hoped. Soak them up from all angles, and be ready to cop from Livestock's on July 15.
Sometimes it feels like MJ’s days on the diamond were only a dream. The king of the ball-court slugging it out on the minor league mound as a tribute to his old man – it sounds like the plot of a midday movie. To make sure we don’t forget the touching tale of the foray into America’s second-favourite pastime, Jordan Brand have pulled the off the bench and laced it with some glove-like leather.
The lacing across the side of the black and brown colourways cleverly references baseball mitts while the number 45 – the number Jordan wore while playing for the Birmingham Barons – has been embroidered on the heel of the black pair, and the number 35 – signifying his time with the Scottsdale Scorpions – is stitched to the brown pair.
Now, here’s where things get interesting – just like the baseball card packets that concealed their coveted contents until torn open, the shoes will come in a sealed box that won’t allow you to see which colourway you're getting until you pop the top. Brown is tipped to be the rarer of the two, and although we’ve not been told how many of each will be released, the total is expected to be around 2000.
The Air Jordan 9 Pinnacle Baseball Pack will dropping on July 12 at select stockists.
