The Air Max 1 'Powerwall BRS' Returns With Big Bubble Energy
A 2006 OG is rumoured to be making a return in 2024, albeit with some Big Bubble energy (aka BBE) added. The was released as part of the ‘3 Decades of Cushioning’ series that paid homage to Nike’s origins as Blue Ribbon Sports, and only 144 pairs were available. It’s arguably the best in the Powerwall collection and was even included in our ! It hasn’t had a retro since, so fans have waited 18 years for the model to return.
There are no images of the alleged 2024 version yet, but sources are saying it will be close to the OG except for the addition of the Big Bubble Sole that debuted earlier this year on the Air Max 1 86 ‘White/Red’. The OG ‘Powerwall BRS’ has a green mesh base on the toe panel, with brown nubuck overlays wrapping around the base before giving way to grey on the top section of the upper. The Swoosh comes in a bright pink, providing contrast against the earthy tones.
There’s no confirmation from the Swoosh on the Air Max 1 ‘86 ‘Powerwall BRS’, so stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for more information.
