Don't Sleep on the Nike Air Max 1 'Olympics'

The Paris Olympics are rolling around faster than anybody expected, and the commemorative releases are coming thick and fast. Following the rumours that Nike would celebrate the event with a themed Air Jordan 4, it looks like an Air Max 1 will also be included in the mix.

For this edition, Nike have rolled out the iconic retro runner in Team USA (and French flag) colours. A white mesh base gives way to grey and navy suede overlays – the former takes over the heels, throat and midfoot panels while the latter wraps its way around the mudguards. Subtle pops of red hit the upper eyelets and the heel and tongue tab branding, while gold-toned Swooshes grace the sides in celebration of the Games.
