Anthony Edwards Brings Skate Vibes to the adidas Rivalry

Ladies and gentlemen, has officially arrived. Putting the Denver Nuggets to the sword 2-0 on their home court, Ant-Man and the Minnesota Timberwolves will hope to close out the second-round series in yet another sweep, after downing the Phoenix Suns 4-0. But Edwards hasn’t only been impressive with his stat lines.

The AE1 has been craning plenty of necks, as Edwards’s debut signature sneaker has already become one of the most popular sneakers on the hardwood. Now, it looks like Edwards and the Three Stripes are looking to move into the lifestyle space beyond the court, and the new adidas collaboration is already available in stores.

Featuring classic crisp black suede uppers, the Rivalry is replete with different hues of pink across the uppers and midsoles. Thick skate-like laces are rendered in black and pink, while Edwards’s signature is emblazoned on the heels.

Originally introduced in collaboration with Hall of Famer in 1986, the adidas Rivalry appeared in both a high and low version, and it was composed in the New York Knicks’s classic composition of orange, blue and white. Recently, the silhouette has appeared in several iterations, including a ‘Treehouse of Horrors’ colourway (inspired by The Simpsons).
