'Apocalypse Now' Inspires This Camo-Clad Air Jordan 4 Creation
Custom king has taken inspiration from iconic Francis Ford Coppola war film Apocalypse Now for his latest project, dousing the in a covert combination of camo textiles.
The Air Jordan 4 ‘Kilgore’ nods to one of the movie’s key scenes ‘Flight of the Valkyries’ and Lt. Colonel Bill Kilgore of the Air Calvary. A recycled Vietnam-era Tiger Camo jacket is used for the mudguard and toe vamp, accented by fatigue-tone suede across the remainder of the upper and tongue. Additionally, an Air Cavs crest features on the tongue, while a Lt. Colonel insignia is stamped on a sharkskin heelpiece.
Coming from two generations of military services, Ceeze has crafted four pairs with the proceeds going to the VVA (Vietnam Veterans of America), supporting veterans who ‘gave everything to defend the nation we all hold so dear’.
