ASICS Called 2004 and Asked for the GEL-1090 Back
As the years roll on, the 80s and 90s are no longer the trendy ‘retro’ decades that fashion references anymore. The 2000s are quickly becoming the new cool, so sneakers from the era are enjoying a new lease of life.
The GEL-1090 spent 2004 as a mile-munching runner; resplendent in time-capsule silver synthetic and white mesh tones. Now, 15 years later, it’s coming back, like nothing has ever changed.
Given the fact 2004 wasn’t that long ago, a lot of design cues found in current running/dad shoes owe their conception to sneakers like the GEL-1090.
Asphaltgold has the right idea with the trackpant and white sock styling. They’ll have them in stock come November 21.
