The ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 Continues to Flex
are continuing to build on their strong 2021 momentum to start the new year. The Japanese imprint have again tapped for new models, while their new collaboration with Berlin label has been generating plenty of heat online.
A lynchpin of their entire catalogue, the series is of course one of the most beloved for fans. Fuelled by its retro late 2000s aesthetic – a style dominating the sneaker landscape again in the 2020s – the GEL-Kayano 14 retools the 2008 running shape with modernised tech and materials.
The first in the sneaker’s storied lineage to be designed by someone other than the godfather Toshikazu Kayano, the passing of the torch has been a veritable success for the Kobe label, sneakerheads clamouring for the starburst of colourways hitting shelves in recent months. The latest to arrive is a super clean white rendition highlighted by subtle hits of gold across the uppers. Emblazoned with the signature GEL cushioning and Trusstic system tech, the subdued colourway is available right now.
