ASICS Welcome The GEL-Kayano 30 Into the Legendary Line

ASICS’ have been the masters of crafting comfy creps and performance-geared trainers for almost five decades, and they haven’t stopped or compromised on anything. Over the past few years, they’ve stretched their product offering even wider, putting a heavy focus on their performance-turned-lifestyle iterations such as the GEL-Kayano 14 and GEL-Nimbus 9. But for their latest announcement, ASICS are going back to their bread-and-butter, debuting the highly-anticipated GEL-Kayano 30.

‘The GEL-Kayano shoe has been a crowd favourite for many years, and quite frankly is a legend in our product range,’ says Rohan van der Zwet, ASICS’ senior product marketing manager. ‘We know the stereotypes that stability shoes have faced over the years: clunky, ugly, and simply not comfortable. That’s why we’re excited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the GEL-Kayano series with such landmark developments. Through our commitment to ASICS’ unique design philosophy, we’ve been able to develop a shoe that offers the stability that consumers have grown to love from the series and added the comfort that we know is so important to runners. Stability truly never felt better, and we’re eager to see runners across the globe experience this with the GEL-Kayano 30 shoes.’

The Kayano line was started in 1993, and over the past 30 years, the brand has honed their craft, forever improving on previous iterations. The GEL-Kayano 30 houses the 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM, which provides enhanced stability and support, working in tandem with PureGEL, that has been integrated into the midsole to allow for the comfiest ride possible. Compared to its predecessors, it also boasts 20 per cent more FF BLAST PLUS EVO cushioning, which increases the height by 4mm and drastically improves comfort.

The ASICS GEL-Kayano 30 will release via the brand’s channels on July 1 in multiple colourways.
