Update August 16, 2022: Awake NY has taken to their socials to officially reveal their ASICS GEL-Lyte III collaboration! No release date has been locked in, but we suspect they’ll be arriving soon.

Angelo Baque’s Awake NY has forged a tight relationship with ASICS ever since their inaugural GEL-Kayano 5 360 collaboration. The former Supreme brand director was also chosen to lead ‘The ASICS Collective’, working on a stack of models from the GEL-Kayano 14 to the GEL-Preleus. Now, the duo have a GEL-Lyte III in the works!

This collaboration is yet to be officially announced by either party, however official ASICS E-Comm pics have surfaced, showing a trio of colourways with Awake NY branding. All three of these pairs follow the OG GLIII script, with mesh netting around the midfoot, heel and improved shape and midsole. The base layer has been dressed in a padded nylon with lush suede overlays and logo hit on the lateral heel. The highlight detail is the translucent Tiger Stripe branding.

This trio of Awake NY x GEL-Lyte IIIs are yet to be officially announced but we suspect a drop date shouldn’t be too far away! Stay locked to SF, we’ll keep you updated.
