BAIT X Saucony Shadow 5500 (Giant Leaps)
Y'all ready know it – there's more to life than sneakers. Californian sneaker kings know it full well too, that's why they've given over a hundred stacks to charities courtesy of the cash creamed at their arsenal of shoe stores. This new 'Giant Leaps' Saucony 5500 is part of the ongoing CruelWorld Series, and to be honest, Bait's press people know their product better than anyone, so we're gonna throw them the mic – #veryrare ...
The CruelWorld Initiative has been a way for BAIT to give back to communities and causes through its Saucony Collaborations. Each design is inspired by a cause and is an expression of the cause. This year, BAIT will reach across the globe to support Follow Your Dreams in the United Kingdom, an organization that helps kids with learning disabilities to pursue their dreams.
As the famous words "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" echoed through every television set and radio station, the landing of the moon has been one of humanity's greatest accomplishments. It is a testament to how much we can accomplish when we pursue our dreams. The unique hybrid model between the Shadow 5000 and 6000 is themed with the historical moon landing in mind to exemplify the idea of pursuing a dream. The Shadow 5500 "Giant Leaps" features a Deep Space black upper in liquid nylon and a combination of a techie smooth neoprene, ribbed-prene, and bubble-prene. The combination of materials shed weight off the Shadow 5500, making it even lighter and more comfortable. Reflective 3M hits with a fitted Moon print, wrap around the lateral to the dark side medial. BAIT and Saucony CruelWorld branding is featured with a NASA inspired woven label on the tongue, along with photography of the Moon and Earth tucked in with the insoles. The midsole is speckled with the pitch black blocking, While an all iced outsole run through the bottom. Lace options come with Black athletic flat and rope.
