BAPE and ASICS Head to Paris with GEL-1090 'France Camo' Collaboration

BAPE and ASICS are taking a trip to Paris for their new collaboration — the GEL-1090 'France Camo.' Combining the colours of the French flag with BAPE's magnifique camouflage pattern, this GEL-1090 does patriotic Parisian style in an entirely new fashion.

The red, white and royal blue shades of the French flag are cut with icy blue for additional flair, and BAPE's ape head logo is cleverly worked into the camo as well for a signature dash of embellishment. You've never seen a 'dad' silhouette done up quite like this, have you? The 'France Camo' are even louder than the two's recent tiger shark head-equipped GEL-1090 collaboration, a shoe that's certainly not subtle.

Getting into the details, blue overlays provide some 2000s athletic style — the 1090 debuted in 2004, after all — while ape head graphics work with ASICS logos on tongues, insoles and heels alike. The simple white GEL midsole stands in stark contrast with the wild upper, and the 'France Camo' even comes packaged in a camo-printed box to fully drive its inspiration home.

The BAPE x ASICS GEL-1090 'France Camo' will release via the BAPE store in Paris and the BAPE online shop come October 2. It's priced at ￥19,800.
