Release Date Announced: BAPE x New Balance 57/40 Collection

BAPE and New Balance are cookin' up again, following 2021's well-received duo of 2002R colabs with a three-pack of fresh takes on the 57/40. Not for the faint of heart, this titillating trifecta is awash in patterns and colours: it remixes both BAPE and New Balance's most famous colour schemes and throws an ultra-vibrant pair in the mix as well for good measure.

Designed with what BAPE is calling a 'pre-sport vibe,' each pair was inspired by the look of athletes and weekend warriors on their way to the game or the gym. One pair opts for a signature BAPE camo mixture of green, tan and brown, while another gives New Balance's signature grey a funky makeover with its camo hits and special branding. The third and most wild pair of the bunch offers a candy-like assemblage of tones both bright and bold. All three are completed with a familiar 'shark face' on the heel, plus BAPE logos on the tongue and the lateral collar. Rounding off the offerings is a special set of apparel, with tones to match each pair of shoes.

Look for the BAPE x New Balance 57/40 collection to touch down on the BAPE webstore July 30. The green and tan pair is an online exclusive, while the other colourways will hit BAPE flagship stores as well. Each pair is priced at $160.
