BAPE Releasing Three New BAPE STAs In October
are sticking to their guns by continuing to release new colourways of arguably their most popular (and infamous) model, the . This new trio supplements the , and as such, carries over some motifs on the upper.
The BAPE STA derives its panelling from a classic 1980s basketball sneaker, which means there is plenty of real estate to work with. However, rather than go to town with super bright patents like they did in 2005 (and again , BAPE show some restraint this time. They’ve opted for clean combos of grey overlaid onto black and white. Which are then paired to a third contrast colour of Tiffany-esque blue and orange.
Despite the relatively toned-down look of these BAPE STAs, a closer eye reveals subtler details. The aforementioned grey panels are debossed with BAPE’s distinctive camo pattern in a similar vein to the recent SK8 STA releases. Another reprised detail is the BAPE head logo stamped into the lateral heel counter in white. Other finishing touches include a matching custom metal lace dubrae, metal top eyelet and stamped insoles.
This new trio of BAPE STAs will be available from early October via BAPE retail and online stores.
