'Be Off the Wall, My Friends': Avenue & Son x Vans Create Kung Fu Flick-Inspired Skate Sid

Nicknamed the 'Flicks of Fury,' Avenue's Skate Sid is spotlighted in a hilarious kung fu movie-inspired campaign and pays homage to metropolises of Chinese skateboarding like Shanghai, Bejing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and others. It's rich with detail as well, combining a perforated white leather upper with vibrant orange detailing, custom insole embellishments, hi-vis reflective 3M laces, and custom lace deubres. From a performance standpoint, it uses Vans' most advanced skate tech like DURACAP, Sick Stick rubber and PopCush cushioning.
'Skating in the Avenue & Son x Vans Skate Sid is like having a black belt in every form of martial art that exists,' says Stephen Khou, co-owner of Avenue & Son who may be embellishing the shoe's performance properties just a touch. 'You truly become one with the board.'
