BEAMS Bring Back the RC205 for New Balance Colab

Japan’s BEAMS are shining the spotlight on racing flats, with an upcoming New Balance collaboration reviving the obscure RC205 model. They’ve applied their typically minimalist styling to a sneaker of equally pared-back nature.

While OG colourways of the RC205 were predominately white with strong contrast colours, BEAMS use muted tones of black and grey to shroud the simple suede and open mesh upper. Hits of matching grey and reflective appear on the midfoot and lining for extra contrast against the white low-profile midsole. This is actually an extremely low-key colab, because it doesn’t look like there is any BEAMS branding to be found in the pictures above.
