Beyonce’s Ivy Park x adidas Collection Highlights the Forum and Sleek Super 72
Superstar singer is continuing her partnership via her athleisure label, which has churned out highly prized collaborative shoes and apparel for female sneakerheads. This upcoming drop sees both mid- and low-cut editions of the Forum retro basketball model, while also reprising the bespoke that featured in the first collection.
The Forum Mid is a mid-1980s design that’s set to become a key player in adi’s heritage lineup in coming months. This Ivy Park colab is sure to stoke some hype, especially with elevated suede and leather uppers rendered in tonal mint, paired to an icy clear sole. Custom touches like perforated panels, Ivy Park–branded swing tags, and army-laced finish helps this almost monochromatic sneaker stand out.
In a similar fashion, the Forum Low takes on a tonal appearance, but in more classic shades of white and tan. It also adopts a simpler material mix, opting for smooth leather juxtaposed against nappy suede inserts at the toe box. However, it’s in this simplicity that the premium features are noticed, such as the perforated leather lining. Like the Mids, these Forums also use an ice sole and army lacing.
Finally, the Sleek Super 72, despite its name, is a platform-soled edition of an early-1970s adidas trainer (most likely the SL72) with a narrower last optimised for the female foot. This new season colourway is classic in white leather with black stripes, and the all-gum midsole is pretty timeless too. There is a thin neon yellow foxing strip bearing Ivy Park branding to make it clear this is indeed a colab.
The Ivy Park x adidas Forum Mid, Forum Low, and Sleek Super 72 are all scheduled to release at adidas and select retailers on October 30.
