Release Date: Brain Dead x adidas Stan Smith
The mind-melting team at continue to serve up plenty of collaborations to keep their hordes of fans satiated. Happily staying well outside their ‘lane’, the LA collective linked up with for a duo of Bowling Shoes, a throwback 1970s strike that hit the market earlier this month. Brain Dead’s sophomore hook-up with Team Trefoil moves from the bowling alley to the tennis courts, the label this week sharing a teaser of their upcoming collaboration.
While details at the moment are scarce, co-founder Kyle Ng shared up-close images via his Instagram. Ostensibly featuring a faux-scuffed, pre-aged aesthetic, the Stan Smith is stamped with Brain Dead’s cult classic face logo on the tongue, which also reads, ‘Endorsed by: Brain Dead’. The motif is again repeated on the lateral side, where a perforated version appears. Elsewhere, chunky, oozing green laces give the partnership some sci-fi bounce – a signature element of Brain Dead’s graphics. Ng also shared a special-edition box for the collaboration on his Instagram, which sees the Three Stripes logo combined with the Brain Dead logo.
Currently, there’s no official confirmation from either party regarding a release date, but keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
