Brain Dead x Oakley Factory Team Create More Chopsaws

Update April 18, 2023: Brain Dead and Oakley Factory Team are teaming up for another go-around. This time they’ve co-created a trio of Chop Saws in ‘All-Black’, ‘Olive Nubuck Leather’ and ‘Jacquard Red’. They’ll become available via all Brain Dead channels on April 18 at 10 am PST.

Brain Dead’s penchant for the wacky has seen them work with left-of-field collaborators across all disciplines, and that’s set to continue with their latest drops in conjunction with Oakley. While best known for their game-changing sunglasses, the brand also has a very distinct early-2000s footwear archive, which Brain Dead have helped highlight and revive for a new generation via the Oakley Factory Team.

Coming up are three waves of releases that revisit the Flesh model – as brought back by BD earlier this year – and also resurrect the Chop Saw from a 20-year slumber. The first drop sees Brain Dead’s earthtone take on the Flesh and its Flesh Sandal counterpart, complete with fuzzy suede. That’s followed by Oakley Factory Team reissues of the OG Flesh Sandal colourway and a ‘Panda’-esque Flesh. The finale includes two editions of the Chop Saw, one of which is a BD special, and the other the OG – looking sharp as ever.

The Brain Dead x Oakley Factory Team Flesh pack will release from Brain Dead and selected retailers on November 15. The Oakley Factory Team Flesh pack follows on November 17 from Brain Dead, Oakley and select retailers. Finally, the Brain Dead x Oakley Factory Team Chopsaw lands at Brain Dead and selected retailers on December 13.
