Fur Real? Bravest Studios’ ‘Bear Claws’ are Pawsitively Wild!
Is there some sort of civil war over who can design the craziest sneakers of all time? It appears so. undoubtedly staked their claim with their , but then Imran Potato’s life-like ‘’ went from viral clip to general release. It seems are now out to prove they’re the king of the jungle with their new ‘Bear Claws', and they’re exactly what that title suggests.
Based in New York, Bravest Studios were founded in 2019, and they’ve solidified their place as an up-and-coming streetwear brand, with previous colabs including Ben Baller and Pop Smoke. The Brooklyn label started out imbuing basketball apparel with luxury brand logos, and earlier this year, they expanded into the footwear sphere with a mule and a clog. Now it appears they’re gunning for fellow Big Apple ‘weird shoes’ masters MSCHF with a hairy and sharp pair of mules known as ‘Bear Claws'.
The mules’ upper are coated all over with brown calf hair and finished off with metallic bear-nails protruding from the toe box. The Bravest Studios logo is imprinted subtly on the footbed in a crisp white. We could try and describe them more but that’s pretty much it. While this is a bold choice for the brand’s third footwear creation, they’re no strangers to flirting with controversy, as their brand was launched on streetwear interpretations of Louis Vuitton and Gucci logos, brushing a little bit close to comfort with trademark laws.
But, hey, they didn’t call themselves ‘Bravest’ for nothing. And with how popular the Imran Potato Rat Slides and bizarre MSCHF creations have become, these 'Bear Claw' mules could be exactly what off-centre collectors are looking for.
The Bravest Studios 'Bear Claws' will release December 29 online with a $110 price tag.
