British Casual Meets Reggae In A New adidas Spezial Collection
The range operates with the specific purpose of reviving dusty archival styles, with an emphasis on British casual culture, and reintroducing them to the world. In the latest range, the Stripes have exploring parallels between the British style and Jamaican reggae culture – discovering links through music, football and fashion.
A second life has been granted to the red Atlanta and the deep blue Jogger, with their one-to-one retro releases. The Wensley, an obscure adidas prototype, sits alongside the white leather Trainer and the Mallison – a tribute to the old AS700. Then there’s the brown leather Garwen that’s been adapted from an ankle-cut shoe called the Brisbane – a shoe that was sourced from the personal collection of Britpop star Noel Gallagher.
The full adidas SPEZIAL collection, including apparel, will be available from March 24 at select .
