BSTN’s Clarks Wallabee Celebrates The Coming Together of Cultures

The presence can be felt all around the world – a pretty major feat for a brand that hails from a small Somerset town. And while the brand has been globetrotting for their past few collections, they’re combining cultures for their latest collaboration with retailer . Though BSTN may hail from Germany, this particular project focuses on their recently-opened London location, and celebrates a Brixton institution with a wider cultural appeal.

Given Brixton’s diverse community, the collaboration nods to the Wallabee’s strong ties to Caribbean culture and comes with a couple of themed hangtags in beige, yellow and green. Remaining relatively understated, the shoe itself boasts a triple diamond detail on the vamp, and an inscription on the lateral heel that reads ‘From the south to the heart’, in a nod to the community that played a massive part in cementing the Wallabee as a style icon. What’s more, those local to the store will be able to trade in a store-exclusive metal fob for a free signature dish from Brixton institution Fish, Wings and Tings.
