Butter Goods Spread Steez Onto the DC Shoes Lukoda OG and Kalis OG
Skate powerhouses and are linking up again for a stylish set of sneakers and apparel that taps into the technical thinking prevalent at the turn of the millennium. The collection highlights the Lukoda OG and griptape expert models, which are both reworked with proven analogue augmentations.
The Lukoda OG debuted in 1999, bringing with it classic hardware, including chunky lace loops and thick suede overlays for durability. Butter Goods celebrate the design’s strong points over two decades later, reworking sandy palettes against black soles, reminiscent of yesteryear’s outdoor designs. This is all cinched together with a set of black elastic laces for easy on and off.
Similarly, the Kalis OG – also from 1999 – adopts this elastic thinking by integrating baby blue drawcords and a toggle system for additional lockdown at the heel. This contrasts against the stark white leather and mesh upper, joined by a gum outsole to evoke the era’s combinations. The cutouts in the midsole are highlighted neon yellow to show off the cushioning tech inside.
