Closer Look: The Air Jordan 3 ‘Midnight Navy’
Making its debut during Michael Jordan’s historic 1987-88 NBA season, the is still dropping jaws all these years later.
The first Jordan Brand silhouette to feature both Air units and the Jumpman logo, the AJ3 featured in the blockbuster ‘Mike and Mars’ campaign, whilst it also inaugurated in Michael Jordan’s 1988 Slam Dunk contest – when he famously launched from the free-throw line. The first mid-cut Jordan, the Air Jordan 3’s debut colourway wrapped in elephant print (at the behest of MJ himself).
Revealed alongside the somewhat similar ‘Racer Blue’, the Air Jordan 3 ‘Midnight Navy’ is composed in ‘Cement Grey’, and white. We’ve now got a closer look at the latest colourway, the tumbled leather base and cement overlays making this one of the prettier AJ3s in recent times.
Look for the Air Jordan 3 ‘Midnight Navy’ to release on March 20. The retail price is $190.
