Closer Look: Footpatrol X ASICS Anime-inspired GEL-Saga

London’s Footpatrol have again linked up with , this time revisiting the cult anime TV series, Mobile Suit Gundam.

Originally inspired by the Gelgoog mecha suit, 1991's channelled a futuristic colourway to portray the Gundam universe, and it looks like the 2018 colab will follow a similar design trajectory.

The new model embraces a metallic paint job across the side panels, subtle tonal uppers, a clean white hit to the midsole with understated grey outsoles. The colour scheme allows the metallic blue to do most of the design’s heavy lifting.

Footpatrol will launch the sneaker at their London and Paris outfits on July 28, gifting the first 25 customers an exclusive package.  A worldwide drop will follow on August 11.
