Closer Look: The Off-White x Nike Blazer Low
There’s no stopping imprint in 2021. As well as remixing the criminally underrated in recent months, Off-White have been busy collaborating on the Air Zoom Tempo NEXT% and teasing the ridunkulous collection, ‘The 50’.
Now, Virgil’s turning his attention to the Nike , the idiosyncratic design completely remastering the vintage 1980s midsole. While the last Off-White x Nike Blazer was seen way back in 2017 in ‘The Ten’ collection, the latest Nike Blazer digresses significantly from its OG blueprints.
Ostensibly inspired by the cult classic Air Humara (hitting shelves in 1997), the sole unit has received a complete overhaul, with speckled orange soles reminiscent of the All Conditions Gear division. Up top, things again diverge considerably, the signature ‘Volt’ tubing (reminiscent of Off-White’s recent Dunks) complementing the classic lacing system, while zip-ties and Off-White branding again appears via the “SHOELACES” iconography.
