Coco Gauff and New Balance Debut the Coco CG1 Women’s Signature Tennis Shoe
tennis career is on the up and up, from her current World No. 11 ranking to the latest unveiling of her first signature tennis shoe with , the Coco CG1. This also marks the third signature sneaker for Team New Balance Women athletes across tennis, running and softball categories.
The Coco CG1 is packed with NB performance tech such as the FuelCell midsole and Energy Arc carbon fibre plate, paired to FitWeave Lite mesh uppers. Longevity is ensured with the NDurance rubber outsoles. There are also personal nods to Gauff via basketball and track spike graphics in honour of her parents’ collegiate sports, plus coordinates pointing to the tennis court she trained in as a child.
‘The entire team at New Balance from design, to marketing, truly cares about me as a person and not just an athlete and that relationship allowed us to create the Coco CG1,’ says Gauff. ‘I signed with New Balance at such a young age and I am so excited to know that I will continue to work with them for a long time into the future!’
The New Balance Coco CG1 will be available in ‘Pompey’ (pictured above) and ‘DigiCoco’ on August 26 – right in time for the US Open.
