Colin Kaepernick is the Face of Nike’s Latest ‘Just Do it’ Campaign
Colin Kaepernick took to Twitter today to reveal the stark imagery featured in latest Just Do It campaign.
Running a simple black and white portrait, white text is stamped across Kaepernick’s cheeks: ‘Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.’
In 2016, Colin Kaepernick caused a firestorm when he refused to stand for the national anthem during a game of NFL, in what Kaepernick described as a protest against racial injustice in the United States. Nike have kept Kaepernick’s contract under wraps since signing the free agent back in 2011. Rival brands circled, including adidas, who registered interest in signing Kaerpernick after the NFL Quarterback went quiet with Nike.
It’s the 30th anniversary of Nike’s Just Do It campaign, and this could be their most ambitious yet.
