Release Date: Comme des Garçons x New Balance 1906R

It’s been another big year for Comme des Garçons in 2023. Masters of digging through the archives to revive forgotten silhouettes, CDG also aren’t afraid to jump on sneaker models charging through the zeitgeist.

The latest collaboration involves the New Balance 1906R, a model that New Balance have been throwing heavy support behind this year ( GANNI, AURALEE, Action Bronson and Salehe Bembury have all leaked colourways in recent months). Originally glimpsed at Paris Fashion Week back in January, the 1906R comes in a classic mix of monochromatic colourways – a signature palette for CdG founder Rei Kawakubo.

Emblazoned in a Y2K style surging in popularity across the sneaker industry, the 1906R model features a combination of ABZORB and N-ergy cushioning. Stability Web outsoles and synthetic and mesh uppers complete the technical aspects of the silhouette. In terms of specifics, Comme des Garçons branding hits the tongues and sock liners.

Look for both colourways of the Comme Des Garçons x New Balance 1906 to arrive on November 17.
