Since 2019, Converse have made sustainability and upcycling a point of emphasis, as the innovation and design team brought used consumer textiles to the iconic Chuck Taylor. Ranging from Carhartt workwear to tropical shirts, Converse is now bringing pre-loved flannel to the Chuck 70.

Tapping into the grunge era of the 90s, which was typically accompanied by a pair of Chucks, Converse have teamed up with UK vintage retailer Beyond Retro to source flannels for the upper. Each Chuck 70 is unique and has its own one-of-a-kind look, as the flannels were sanitised, cut, and made into a canvas upper. The Chuck 70 signature details are still there, such as the All-Star patch on the medial side and the foxing that surrounds the vulcanised sole.

The Converse Chuck 70 ‘Upcycled Flannel’ is available now via Converse’s channels, retailing for $200. Hit the link below to purchase.
