Dapper Dan and PUMA Link Up Again on the Clyde

Dapper Dan rightfully has been getting the flowers he deserves for the past few years. The tailor and hip-hop pioneer from Harlem has crafted bespoke tracksuits and jackets for the biggest names in hip-hop, ranging from Eric B. & Rakim to Jay-Z. Dapper Dan has worked with the likes of Gucci, GAP, and PUMA over the past few years, he’s teaming up with the latter again on the PUMA Clyde and letting you know where he’s from.

PUMA tapped Dapper Dan to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the PUMA Clyde, the signature sneaker for New York Knicks and fashion legend Clyde Frazier. Dropping in two colourways, 'Black/Red' and 'Sky Blue/Red', the standout design feature is the large ‘Harlem’ and ‘World’ overlays that are placed over the Formstrip, featuring Dapper Dan’s monogram. A soccer-inspired fold over tongue features DDP in chenille, alongside PUMA branding. More PUMA branding is seen on the lateral side alongside Dapper Dan’s, as the respective tonal look extends down into the midsole and outsole.
