Darius Bazley Creates 'The Intern' New Balance 997
$1 million ‘intern’ Darius Bazley has designed his own colourway of the , coming through with a patriotic red, white and blue take that celebrates ‘creativity and individuality’.
The Syracuse college basketball up-and-comer was signed by New Balance last year in a lucrative five-year deal involving a $200,000 per year salary, presuming he’d make it onto an NBA roster in coming seasons.
‘The Intern’ 997 is decked out in premium suede with luxe leather and embroidered detailing. Red suede hits the toe box, with navy dominating the rest of the upper. Meanwhile, a touch of beige decorates the heel cup, while white on the ‘THE INTERN’ heel embroidery and ENCAP sole unit completes the USA theme.
Pictured with a New Balance ID tag, parking permit and notepad, this 997 will likely get a limited drop in the coming months. We’ll keep you posted on release details.
