Delayed! The Quartersnacks x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Zebra’
Dunkmania continues to surge in the sneaker industry, the skate-ready carving out plenty of collaborations this year. Recently tapped by Dutch artist and Athens’ , the globe-trotting SB Dunk is now on its way to New York City with skate magazine Quartersnacks.
Originally unveiled alongside the and collaborations for Tokyo 2020, the wild Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Zebra’ is a long time between drinks for Quartersnacks, their last Nike SB Dunk collaboration landing in 2014.
The on-trend ‘Zebra’ print is emblazoned along the toe box, side panels, collars, and insoles, while clean black leather overlays add depth to the toe caps, Swooshes, and eyestays. Fun fact: it’s not the actual animal that inspires the pattern, but rather the New York junk food staple Little Debbie’s Zebra Cakes.
The Quartersnacks logo is embroidered along the lateral heel, while co-branding appears on the tongues and insoles. Perhaps most notable, however, is the tongue, Quartersnacks opting for a classic Dunk tongue as opposed to Nike SB’s chunkier rendition. Down below, off-white midsoles complement a black rubber outsole.
Unfortunately, the Quartersnacks x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Zebra’ has been delayed, and will now release on September 18 at select skate stores.
