Denim Pairs Perfectly with the adidas Jeans
While many sneakers were originally designed with athletic intentions in mind, have been creating purely casual styles for decades. So, in a way, adidas were doing athleisure long before it was ever a marketing buzzword. And one of adi’s most revered casual models is the , which – yep – is optimised for wearing with the pants that they’re named after.
The Jeans has long been a coveted model among terrace and casual fans, for original examples were very sought after among collectors as reissues were few and far between. Since the mid-2010s, the availability of the model has increased drastically, allowing more sneakerheads than ever to experience the Jeans.
These two new colourways follow the same conventions that have defined the Jeans for over 40 years. This means suede uppers with contrast stripes and heel tabs, paired to low-profile rubber soles with a very slight ripple. The light blue edition pictured above loosely references the Jeans’ OG ‘Turquoise’ colourway, while the Red/Navy with gum sole has been a staple for the model over the years.
The adidas Jeans is available now from Aphrodite.
By the way, there is indeed an alternative version of the adidas Jeans known as the Cord. Yes, it’s pretty obvious which pant material they were designed for.
