Devin Booker and Converse Link Up on the Chuck 70
When he’s not getting buckets in the Kobes, Phoenix Suns All-Star guard Devin Booker has been a tunnel-fit mainstay since entering the league in 2015. Booker’s simple and elegant fits in the tunnel are often accompanied by a pair of . And as he and the Suns gear up for the NBA Playoffs, Booker’s collaborated with Converse for his take on the Chuck 70 – and it’s as versatile as a sneaker can get.
‘Clean, classic, and timeless. The Chuck 70 is part of my uniform. I put all that together into the design,’ Devin Booker says about the collaboration.
The timeless sneaker features a tonal look, a nod to vintage Americana. Egret canvas makes up the upper with the All-Star patched stitched on the medial side in the same hue. The most significant deviation from the original is the canvas toecap that replaces the rubber typically seen on the Chuck 70. The minimalist look continues down into the foxing and sidewall of the collaborative sneaker, with a custom Arizona-inspired license plate logo placed on the heel. Lastly, a gum outsole finishes off the sneaker.
The Devin Booker x Converse Chuck 70 is set to drop on April 12, 2023, via SNKRS and Converse’s channels with select retailers dropping them on the 13th. The sneaker will retail for $95.
