Did You Miss the adidas Ultra4D ‘Triple Black’?
Internet chatter has reached SF ears regarding a 'Triple Black' Ultra4D that apparently was released at random overnight on the adidas CONFIRMED app. Did you get a pair from the shock drop? If you didn’t, pics are floating around for you to have a good look at before considering triggering a pair on the secondary market. Coming via Instagram, these shots reveal the latest edition of adidas’ merger between the contemporary classic upper and futuristic -printed midsole.
Like previous editions of the Ultra4D, the uppers use stretchy Primeknit textiles to target particular zones for breathability and other areas for durability. This is reinforced by plastic mid-foot lace cages and an external heel counter, which has been treated with a high gloss finish for this otherwise stealthy sneaker.
On the underside, adidas continue to prove that 4D can be rendered in colours other than green. Like the launch colourway that borrowed the UB’s OG shades, everything is all-black.
If you want a pair, you’ll have to hope the resellers are merciful with their pricing. But, given this was a surprise release, and the fact that these haven’t released in other regions yet, the possibility of a restock isn’t completely unfounded.
