Dover Street Market’s New Balance 991v2 Is Exactly What You Would Expect

, which is owned by the family, is a renowned sneaker collaborator and has linked with brands like , , and . Not only have they engaged in collaborations, they've also housed a bevy of SMU exclusives that are almost always blacked out. And, that’s exactly what they’ve done with their latest New Balance venture on the , a new-gen hot commodity in the Boston brand’s catalogue.

The New Balance 991v2 launched in the back half of 2023 and, if you couldn’t already tell by the name, is an updated version of the cult classic 991. Luckily, the new variation is still made in the UK but just boasts a plethora of updated details that arguably make it better (you can peep the upgrades ). The Dover Street Market variation hosts a murdered-out build and comes correct with the usual mesh base and suede overlays. Co-branded details are present, with an embroidered ‘DSM’ tongue hit and insole graphic.
