‘Head North’: Drama Call x adidas Superstar II Colab Channels Manchester’s Iconic Legacy

Known for its eye-catching designs, cultural authenticity, and strong northern identity, Charlie Bows’s Drama Call has garnered a loyal following of streetwear fans across the UK and beyond. Teaming up with , the Manchester imprint is now set to elevate its game even further with a fresh Superstar II colab that celebrates its homegrown roots.
Inspired by the city’s Metrolink system, the sleek iteration arrives with a map imprinted on the insoles and teal accents that nod to the Firema T-68, a tram retired in 2009. Drama Call’s signature star motif takes centre stage, with repeating details gracing the Superstar II’s heel and tongue. The graffiti-style translucent outsole offsets the collaboration’s bold teal Three Stripes, standing out against the silhouette's monochromatic upper. Perforated stars between the stripes provide texture, while a silver star-shaped hang tag echoes the brand’s streetwear roots.
Switching things up, the tongue is made from your not-so-typical ripstop mesh, and the shell toe is updated with Drama Call’s iconic star branding. Metallic pins featuring the same star motif accompany each pair, alongside a 'Designed in Manneh' print on the tongue. Lastly, the packaging mirrors the iconic Firema T-68 livery, with window cut-outs that reveal the project inside and embroidered coordinates that point to the heart of Manchester – right where it all began.
The Drama Call x adidas Superstar II ‘Head North’ will be released exclusively on March 22 during a pop-up event in Manchester. Stay locked to Instagram for more details.
