END. Clothing Release their Consortium Cup Design: the adidas Samba ‘Past’
When it comes to retailer colabs, UK-based retailer have things down to a fine art. Hailing from Newcastle, the team has recently dropped joint projects with and , but they’re now turning their attention to bringing their adidas Consortium Cup-winning to life. The END. x adidas Samba ‘Past’ is set to drop later this month, so here’s what you need to know.
Much like efforts by and , the END. x adidas Samba was conceived through adidas’ Consortium Cup competition. At the time, the model went head to head with an entry from Hanon, but it soon became clear that END.’s entry was some tough competition.
As the name suggests the END. x adidas Samba ‘Past’ draws inspiration from early fabric compositions and features woven tapestry-like details at the Stripes and heel tabs. These patches sit atop soft suede uppers and a heavy burlap-like toe, which highlights the juxtaposition between old and new. Not one to spare any details, END. have also left elements of the stitching intentionally loose to further the DIY feel, while gold branding hits reflect the pair’s cup-winning status.
If you’ve been holding out for the Consortium Cup-winning END. x adidas Samba ‘Past’, then the good news is that you won’t have to wait much longer, as the shoe launches via END. on November 23. The raffle is currently open for entry, and small quantities will also be available in each of END.’s stores for those who live locally.
Elsewhere in the Sambasphere, the Velosamba should be dropping soon.
