END. and New Balance Perfect the ‘Art of Nothing’ on the XC-72
are extending their partnership by releasing an expansive collaborative collection centred around the ‘Art of Nothing’. This minimalist capsule allows END. to make subtle changes to the model, and at first glance, almost seems like there's been no edits made at all. However, a closer look reveals plenty to pore over.
There are two takes on NB’s heritage-inspired hybrid model. The first uses a perfect balance of beige and the brand’s signature shades-of-grey look, to which END. have specified some particularly nappy suede. However, the most interesting aspect here is the lateral N logo, whereby its tonality and raw edge almost makes it look like it’s fading into nothing at all (nothing at all, nothing at all).
The second colourway is more tonal and displays a strong textural mix of the same nappy suede, but is paired up with large cell breathable mesh down the middle. This off-white foundation is offset by a starkly grey suede N logo smack bang in the centre of the lateral and medial panels, which is complemented by the heel tab trim and tongue logo.
Raffles are open now on END. for their New Balance XC-72 ‘Art of Nothing’ colab, which will release on February 26 alongside branded apparel.
