Engineered Garments X Vans Sk8-Hi LX Collection
The latest colab between and takes us on a trip down memory lane. Founder of Engineered Garments, Daiki Suzuki, looked back to his years as a young skater in Japan when – to him – Vans was the embodiment of an American skate brand. In keeping with the brand's playful nature he and his friends would trade individual shoes to end up with mismatched pairs – inspiring the asymmetrical colab.
Together Engineered Garments and Vans have produced three variations of the , which utilise three different materials in their construction – smooth leather, suede and canvas. The understated colourways were carefully pieced together so that when the shoes are viewed from different angles they will present a very different impression.
All three of the new Engineered Garments x Vans Sk8-Hi LX models will be available from July 29 from select stockists, including New York’s .
