Experience ‘Miami Nights’ Again with the Nike LeBron 8 V2 Low Retro
may be living it up at the moment with the Los Angeles Lakers, but a decade ago, he called Miami home. Diehard Cleveland Cavaliers fans will remember the fateful day in 2010 that LeBron made ‘The Decision’, and one of the outcomes following that announcement was a string of sneaker releases celebrating the famed basketballer’s new home. The V2 ‘Miami Nights’ was one of those releases, and returns 10 years after it first dropped in very limited numbers in 2011.
This is essentially a one-to-one reproduction of the 2011 OG, which has aged rather well, all things considered. The LeBron 8 V2 was a stripped back version of the LeBron signature sneaker line, opting for lighter and more breathable materials. With the increased use of synthetics in the mix, it enabled greater graphic treatments, such as this vibrant speckled finish to the upper. A hot red – almost flamingo pink – Air Max sole and teal green accents help cement the Miami homage.
As opposed to the limited numbers dropping at Niketown Miami back in 2011, the 2021 retro of the Nike LeBron 8 V2 ‘Miami Nights’ will see a wider release. It will drop at Nike on May 11, and it’s likely selected global retailers will also receive an allocation. Given how in demand the first release was, don’t be surprised if the retro generates the same amount of fervour. Stay sharp.
